DOT Compliance Services Story

DOT Compliance Services was founded by retired FBI Special Agent in Charge and former police officer, Michael Tabman.

Michael rose through the ranks of the FBI reaching the level of Special Agent in Charge, commanding over 250 FBI Agents throughout three states.  Over his 24 years of service, Michael was involved in all types of investigation and utilized a wide variety of investigative techniques to accomplish the FBI mission.  His years on the FBI-NYPD Drug Task Force were highlighted in one of his novels "Bad Intent".

Prior to joining the FBI, Michael was a police officer in Fairfax County, Virginia.  Michael spent this time working on patrol, plain-clothes operations, and crime prevention.  He became the department's first hostage negotiator due to his ability to communicate clearly and convincingly.

After retiring, Michael founded SPIRIT Asset Protection, LLC as a corporate security and risk management consulting firm.  SPIRIT expanded in 2013 to provide compliance services to the motor carrier industry.

Michael's ability to navigate "the system" has been invaluable to hundreds of clients from small independent operators to large transporation companies.
