Pennsylvania PUC – Non PA-based business (Foreign entity)

The Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission requires a Certificate of Public Convenience for motor carriers transporting property or passengers between points within the state of Pennsylvania.

Please note: this fee is for our services only. You will be responsible for PA fees that are imposed based on your operations.

As you are not a PA based business, business formation in PA is required. The PA fee for establishing a PA based business (foreign entity) is included in our fee. You will use your credit card to for annual Registered Agent fees ( 50-100).

After the application is approved, the Public Utilities Commission will request proof of insurance before they will permit you to operate. These must be submitted from your insurance carrier. Please see our insurance request under the services menu if you do not yet have an insurance provider.

Please note, that the State requires several weeks to approve a new business entity.

We will submit the request, however, we cannot check on progress or assume any responsibility for the State to respond to the request.
